Dr. Arzadon offers nose surgery (rhinoplasty) at The Spa Clinic, which serves the residents of Washington DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Gainesville, and surrounding areas of Northern Virginia.
Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping, is a procedure that is performed to reshape or restructure the nose. Patients may choose to undergo rhinoplasty for aesthetic reasons or to correct issues which have arisen from a prior injury or nasal condition. Rhinoplasty can enhance the look and shape of the nose as well as provide better breathing solutions.
Nose surgery can be performed for cosmetic or medical reasons. Candidates for nose surgery typically are those who have the following characteristics:
When undergoing a nose reshaping procedure, incisions are made inside the nasal cavity so there will be no scars visible. During the procedure, the skin, tissues, bone, and cartilage of the nose are reshaped using sculpting techniques to alter the appearance or function of the nose. Depending on the nasal alterations you desire, these techniques may be used:
After nose surgery, a recovery period of 3 to 4 weeks is needed. Patients should expect bruising and swelling around the eyes and nose after the procedure, which will diminish after a week or two. Discomfort may be felt but is typically controlled with medication. You may experience some congestion or bleeding for a few days after the surgery is performed. While you can return to light activity a few days after the surgery, you’ll wear a splint to protect the nose for approximately one week.
The Spa Clinic works with CareCredit® to provide financing options for patients. Within a few hours, you can be pre-approved for your cosmetic procedure.
