The Facial and Neck Liposuction Procedure

Facial and neck liposuction is performed through a tiny incision, typically placed at a location that will minimize its appearance. A small cannula is inserted, and excess fat cells are removed through suction. Patients may also choose to undergo facial and neck liposuction in conjunction with other facial surgical procedures such as a facelift, brow lift, and nose or eyelid surgery. This procedure permanently removes the fat cells from these areas, so patients typically see lasting benefits.

After facial and neck liposuction, healing time is minimal. Typically, patients will wear an elastic dressing over the area for a period of a few days and possibly at night for longer periods. Facial and neck liposuction patients usually return to their normal activities in 2 to 4 days.
