About Obagi® Blue Peel Radiance™

The Obagi® Blue Peel Radiance™ product combines salicylic, lactic, and glycolic acids. This product is used to remove dead skin cells while stimulating the growth and production of new skin cells. The treatment can be performed on the facial area, neck, chest, arms, legs, and hands. The treatment is applied to the skin but not absorbed, so there are no toxic effects to the patient internally.

The Obagi® Blue Peel Radiance™ Procedure

During an Obagi® Blue Peel Radiance™ procedure, one to two coats of solution is applied to the specified skin areas. The solution remains on the skin for approximately 10 to 12 minutes.

Patients typically experience a warm sensation during the procedure, which may be followed by a stinging sensation. The skin may peel for 2 to 3 days after the treatment is performed. As new skin will be growing, the treated areas will be sensitive. A healing cream will be recommended and should be used during the healing period, along with a sunblock with an SPF of 15 or more.
